The house is set on high ground and has dramatic far-reaching views across the forests and hills of the Limousin countryside. Set in the middle of a 500-acre former hunting estate there is privacy, tranquillity and plenty of space to explore.
The estate is home to over 100 red, roe and fallow deer as well as horses, muflon, pigs, sheep and a menagerie of other animals. There is a 2m fence around the entire estate making it difficult to get too lost – this also ensures privacy and makes it safer to send kids out on adventures by themselves.
The house itself was built in around 1860 out of the local granite and oak. There is a huge stone fireplace in the sitting room and lots of beams throughout. We have carefully decorated and equipped the house to create a welcoming and comfortable home for your family holiday.
